Still Going!

As of May 2013, the Internet's premier site for information on outdoor sirens has finally been updated. No, it's not just another paragraph blog dedicated to Mr. Smith's personal matters: the website and the board have been revamped from the ground, up! While my take on the news is admittedly a few months late, you have to remember that I don't do much of anything on this board anymore, which brings us to the vein-throbbing question.. why the hell are you still keeping up with matters around here? Well. I do feel that while this forum never did serve much of a purpose, it's only fair to keep it sporadically relevant to what it was designed to reflect on in the first place - outdoor warning sirens.
That being said, it's interesting to note that the site has seen its first switch in ownership. Adam Smith has passed the torch and with it, a legacy. The new design really is something, and though I do miss The Siren Museum and the media-page, the site interface is not the clutter it once was. While the board is still open up for donations, it is now hosted by a team that will keep it afloat even if the donations are to run dry. There is even a new team of moderators on site, and there is more drive to keep this community in good order now than there ever was before. The board was historically known to have kinks within its user base, and the change we got this year should've happened much sooner than it did. Heck, if Adam hadn't decided to call it quits, these changes surely would've not taken place. All in all, the place is pretty decent.
I realize AirRaidSirens has had a few major updates that I failed to do commentaries on over the years, but it really doesn't matter. The fact that I felt like highlighting this update out of the blue is a testament to the inconsistencies in everything that I do. Anyways, enjoy the new site.. I'm sure that If you're reading this topic, you must have clicked on a wrong search suggestion somewhere anyway; please, disregard everything you just read.
