Still Going!

While recently browsing through my administration page I laid eyes on the stats-panel, and I must say, we've reached quite a figure since the forum's inception in December of 2005. Though the forum has been around for almost eight years now, the fact that we gathered up over a third of a million individual views, each accounting for a different viewer, boggles my mind. Hell, we received almost six thousand views this past month. I mean, yeah, a third of a million is not an overly impressive number by most of today's Internet standards -your average, half-decent YouTube video can rack up that kind of publicity over the course of maybe a year or two, not to mention any generic blogger with a good fan base could total a million collective views given some time- but it's a wonder how a page as seemingly obscure as ours managed to get this many hits so far. A page that has had no more than twenty registered users throughout its lifespan, with its top four users -its only truly active users- as active as gunpowder in water, has went this far without any funding, advertisement push or keywords to aid it towards the public eye. Ideally, the forum should have been and remained a mere parcel washed out at the farthest, most remote depths of the sea that is the Web, as was intended for it to be; a private hangout for a few nerds and nothing more. Clearly, we were not the only ones to get a grip on how zany and narrow-minded this forum we've made out to be, and I hope the aura of mild cranial retardation this commu.. erm.. group gathering sears into a reader's mind doesn't make a general impression on the Internet any larger than what sinking another inch underwater would have on the southern States. Alas, our cover seems to have been chipped away slowly, but I don't think the usual stranger browsing this forum will do much more than give it a quick scroll and exit the page... and pretend they never crossed it.

Again, I'd like to congratulate myself, the all-righteous genius who is Peter Radanovic, for amassing such a broad audience by doing nothing more than keeping this place an inch above drowning in its own inactivity.
