Still Going!

It does seem that private messaging will get the job done much slower while still providing as much output.
So here are the rules to read for all members wishing to become moderators. Un-responsible people, don't bother.

In terms of controlling comments/topics:
the moderator must have a good sense of board orientation of this board: they must have a feeling of the trend around here; judging by the previous changes to topics and posts.
This means that all sticky and closed topics have one general thing in common: it is the job of the moderator to find out: trends of importance are among one of them. For example: look at the way that the "Posting madness." and the marathon of the last poster winning have one thing in common: they are popular in the way that they bring a sense of fun and pride in them; that would be considered by most users, fun.
Also, closing topics means that the moderator has to analize the situation as a bad one or one that looks too important to have its reader have their mind distorted by useless replies which could have been solved by private messaging. But with no fighting though: posts such as that will be re-produced by me in the bin. However, shall a fight develop and I'm not on duty, it would seem appropriate for the moderator(s) to close it untill I come and take care of the rest. Then it shall be re-opened. Also, please do not heat up the situation.

In terms of deleting comments:
deleting comments also requires thinking. If a comment were to be deleted, it would have to be an off-topic post. Swear posts will NOT be deleted: remember that. Also, since there is the off-topic section on this board, off-topic comments only of great meaning or more than one line shall be sent there, by me, of course.
Only off-topic posts of little meaning and no swear content shall be deleted. Remember that. But even if meaningless posts have a designated place, for example, a post about avatars in a Bionicle thread, they will not be deleted: but will be left alone until I come and transfer them to the right place.

In terms of changing other user(s)' profile settings:
a user(s)' profile settings may be done under two conditions:
the first condition is that the user who gets their profile changed will have to be one that has already done bad actions here and is awaiting permanent suspension: they will get an unsolvable password fitted, and depending on their degree of garbage, will have degrading comments in their profile of variable meaning.
The second condition that account-hacking will be used in is if someone is awaiting temporary suspension. What happens is that the moderator will tell the user that he will put in a secret password for the duration of the suspension and type in one that the user can use when they're ready to return. I will send private messages to moderators about this occasion as there is some more detail involved in this.
So account controll of others is quite some responsibility.

And remember to use your head until you get what to do!
