They have took a majorly wrong step for themselves, atleast in our opinions. They are probably trying to evolutionize, well, let me tell you guys; evolution is not always a good thing! We want our hard-plastic pieces back!!

We'll see. I think that the Bionicle-sector of LEGO is going toward more detail. They probably did not have as many sales in the past, with the hard pieces [doubtfull, but possible], so they're trying to make them sell faster. I also remember that the hard-piece Bionicles never exceded the selling range of these, newer models. I think that the main influense for this change is people younger than us; younger people usually tend to go for over-detailed designs. So it is mainly those younger people that caused such a change. It's the minority; the older people, such as us, that buy their product. And, yes, we're the ones who like it simple. It's some sad news, but it's true. Those newer models are selling like hotcakes. Every time a new edition comes, I always hope for the best.

I would like to add to your therie.Bionicle never really appealed to the ages of 8-12 at first. But then when the Toa became Toa Nuva they added a some more detail and that made them sell faster and better to all ages. Then came the toa metru. they has alot of body detail that made them look even cooler and more awesome. After came the Hordika with a down step on the detail. Now we have the Toa Inika(the new and offical name of 06 to we are talking about). They have alot of detail and to much of it will make the Toa look bad. So this kind of bionicle look will only be tempory. Lego like to expirament with it's sets. So dont worry peter it will all go back to noram eventually dont you agree?

Man, believe it or not; this is a sigh of relief for me.
At least they do not have bendable pieces, and do not incorporate too much detail; well, at least most of them!
But it seems that Bionicle's names have been using less originality lately.
By the way; hasn't the term "Nuparu" been used allready?

I am starting to like these Toa sets. Peter, when the Toa metru first lanched we were a bit hating of them. But Now we love them. These Toa look great. Oh peter the masks are like that because of the storyline. If you want why the masks are like that staryline wise then just ask.

Thst depends. The disks have pin point accuraccy. These have rock solid power. It depends on what you need in a mask fight.

But they are not compatable with LEGO pieces; you cannot build with them.
