My new siren design(s).

First of all, let me show you the link to the utterly simple      siren schematic I made. Here:http://tinypic.com/b83fiw. Now you will see the chopper having its holes at an angle rather than vertical like on a regular siren. And as always, the purpouse of the ports is for air to go trough them, out of the chopper. And the bigger the ports are the more air is obviously going to get pushed out. Anbd the only way to make the ports larger while keeping the chopper small is to put the ports at an angle. Putting the ports at an angle will increase t heir length and therefore increase their size while keeping the chopper small. Oh and if you we're to make bigger ports and make them vertical, you would obviously increase the chopper height as well. So my goal is to keep the siren as compact as possible while still providing big sound with maximum efficiency. Also there are eight or nine ports to choose from. The lower the pitch, the farther away the siren will be heard and the higher the pitch, the higher the sound pressure will be without the extra motor power. Now moving on to the housing. You can see the housing has rather small holes for the sound output. The reason why that is, is because you want the sound to travel longer distances. And in order for the sound to travel long distances, you need to keep it in a more straight and controled beam. This also adds to efficiency. The siren operates at about nine or ten horsepower and therefore does have battery backup incase there is a power failiure. The siren has a ten-year maintenance-free guarenteed life and a sixty-year maintenance-free estimated life, longer than most other sirens today. And the most important thing, the model's name is the 26L10 because it can produce hundred-twenty-six decibels of sound power at hundred feet away (thirty metres away) with only about ten horsepower. That's all for now. I will be posting more of my revolutionary siren designs in this thread when I feel like it which shouldn't take too long. If I ever own a siren company, it shall be one of the best. The company name will be NyRad. When I post more siren designs you can be assured they will be guaranteed to get you interested in having one.

I just had annother great idea; build an inverted chopper. What an inverted chopper is, is a chopper which has its vanes outside, kind of like air-scoops on a fan. This setup obviously has its stator on the inside. Why the idea came-about is because I've alwais wondered how to make uni-directional sirens cheaper and more efficient; have the sound come out of a stator, from the middle, instead of the design that goes out the outer side of the stator. This possibly means that the sound will have a much straighter path to go trough, in this case the exact middle. This idea might actually have a far-greater potential because if the vanes were placed on the outside, their ability to scoop in air would not be as limited considering that the vanes placed outside would have flanges on their side to prevent too much obstruction of air, from the vane infront. With an ordinary chopper, you'd need the back of the chopper open as well, for better air suction. Now, I am not a hundred-percent-sure whether this design is going to beat today's chopper/stator assembely in terms of eficiency, but I do see some of the advantages that it might have over today's chopper/stator assembely.

Guess what, I E-mailed my idea about the chopper with angled rotor-ports and vanes to the customer support specialist of A.S.C., Joe Stauffacher. We shall discuss my idea and see if they will accept it. This is a very exciting time for me.
